Rabbits require once yearly vaccinations against Viral Haemorrhagic disease and Myxomatosis. Rabbits also need worming at least twice a year.
Diet, housing and neutering are all very important aspects of rabbit care. They are only pets, but can be very high maintenance and very specific requirements. Neutering is advised for females to reduce the incidence of ovarian and uterine cancers, and in males it is usually helpful from a behavioural point of view. Rabbits, and small furries can develop problems that would require veterinary attention. Any loss of appetite, lack of droppings, lethargy or hair loss should be a cause for concern.
