About Us

The Riverview Veterinary Group was established in 1945 by Veterinary Practitioners Trevor Nicholson and Henry Skuse and has been providing round-the-clock, quality veterinary services for Bandon and its surrounds ever since.

It was initially almost entirely dedicated to servicing the dairy industry, however over the years we have built several small animal facilities.

The first of these was in Bandon, which was upgraded in 1995 followed by one in Carrigaline in 2002 and another in Kinsale which has been situated in its current building since 2005. Ballincollig is our newest branch and was opened in August 2009.

In addition to veterinary facilities, we also have

• a bovine embryo transfer unit
• a full veterinary laboratory
• an agricultural store
• pet grooming service at our Bandon and branch

The Riverview Veterinary Group also has a long tradition in assisting the education of students.

Meet the Team

Riverview has 10 practitioners, 3 dedicated to small animal practice, 2 mixed practitioners and 5 dedicated large animal practitioners.

We have 25 support staff ranging from laboratory technicians and veterinary nurses to accounting and administration staff.

All our staff are animal lovers and dedicated to the health and well-being of all our patients.

Emergency Information

We provide emergency services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

A veterinarian can be reached 24 hours a day. We have a Vet on-call after normal business hours including weekends and holidays.

You can reach our on-call Vet by calling 023-8841503. Emergency fees will apply.

If you are sent to voice mail, please leave a message with your name and phone number and the nature of your emergency. The Vet may be assisting another client. Someone will call you back as soon as they are available.
